It had eight apses radiating from a large inner octagonal space surmounted by a dome. The apses were semi-circular and equal except for the western one which was rectangular. The apses all project through to the exterior of the church where they have polygonal sides. On the basis of its construction and sculptural details it is dated to the second half of the 7th century.
