The project integrates the built environment with nature. It addresses the disconnected relationship between the natural environment of a site and the built elements of a housing community. Nature is utilized as a method for establishing and enhancing community and social interactions. The implementation of sustainable and alternative agriculture will encourage direct interaction the land. Analysis, design, and development will occur at multiple scales to inform the project, including: planning and layout, architectural, community, individual and environmental. A bioclimatic niche housing community will serve as the vehicle to reintegrating nature and the built environment.
